A close starboard side view of the forepart of the Royal Navy coastal minesweeper support ship Manxman (1940) alongside the basin wall in Chatham Dockyard at the end of her conversion from a fast minelayer. The photographer is on the roadway looking forward and to port from abreast the second funnel. Her pendant number is N70. The top of her foremast and everything aft of the radio cabin are out of the picture. The bow is obscured by a quayside crane.
