On board the United States Navy aircraft carrier Saratoga (1955) while under way in the Mediterranean. The photographer is on the front of the bridge looking forward and to port showing the Douglas A-1H Skyraider 139749, coded 405, making a free take-off from the centreline of the flight deck. The flight deck crew are on the starboard side of the flight deck and goofers are in the walkways.
