On board the United States Navy aircraft carrier Saratoga (1955) while under way in the Mediterranean. The photographer is on the port side of the island looking to port, down and aft showing the Grumman C1-A Trader carrierborne onward delivery aircraft 136789 with wings folded and the nose of the VAH 9 Squadron Douglas A-3B Skywarrior coded 511 in the foreground. A portable mirror landing system is on the starboard side of the centreline and a Douglas A4-C Skyhawk is landing on. The negative is damaged on the right side.
