On board the United States Navy aircraft carrier Saratoga (1955) while anchored in the Mediterranean. The photographer is on the aft end of the island superstructure looking aft and slightly to port showing numerous aircraft on the flight deck, including Douglas A-3B Skywarriors of VAH 9, McDonnell F-3B Demons of VF 31 and a Douglas A-4C Skyhawk of either VA 34 or VA 36.
