The photographer is on the jetty abreast the aft superstructure looking to starboard and forward showing the ship from the mainmast forward. Her pendant number is C35, the Royal Naval Reserve crew is mustered at 'Hands for leaving harbour' stations and the ship is wearing the flag of the Admiral Commanding Reserves, Rear Admiral Hugh Martell. Everything aft of the mainmast is out of the picture.
