On board the Royal Navy coastal minesweeper Thames (1953) looking aft from the starboard side of the base of the lattice mast. The 10 on the funnel shows that she is a unit of the 10th Mine Counter Measures Squadron. The Thames is on passage from Den Helder to Southampton after taking part with other Ton class units in the joint RN/RNR live minesweeping exercise Cableway in Dutch coastal waters.
