A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orcades (1937) at anchor off Kotor, Yugoslavia. The photographer is looking west-by-north from the entrance to one of the canals. An accommodation ladder is rigged at the aft shell door and a boat is at the foot of the ladder. The ship is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on the foremast and the two-flag hoist GC ( 'Have you seen or heard anything of my boat' ) on a haliard above the bridge. The stern of the ship is partially obscured by trees in the left foreground.
