Her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to her aft shell door. The ship's motor lifeboat Number 15 is underway in the foreground heading towards the shore with some of the ship's passengers. Abbazia, in the north end of the Adriatic on the east side, was an Italian port from 1920 to 1947.
