Ship's lifeboats from the Orient Line cruise ship Orcades (1937) in the water for racing at Korcula, Yugoslavia. The photographer is looking down from the promenade deck on the starboard side aft showing a ten-oared lifeboat under tow heading for the race start. The crew is a mix of passengers and crew members with the crewmen in uniform in the bow and at the tiller while the oars people are wearing paper fezes and other headgear. The oars are tossed as the boat is under tow of another lifeboat.
