The Royal Fleet Auxiliary replenishment tanker Tidesurge (1954) refuelling the Royal Navy aircraft carrier Ark Royal (1950) while under way in the Arabian Sea during the CENTO exercise Midlink VI. The photographer is on the starboard side of the flight deck aft on the carrier looking forward and to starboard showing the forepart of the tanker from the aft gantry forward. Everything abaft the aft gantry is out of the picture. The tanker is using her centre gantry to carry out the refuelling operation.
