The photographer is on the starboard side of the flight deck looking forward from between the tail booms of a De Havilland Sea Vixen FAW.1 of 890 Squadron showing the aircraft's folded wings and twin jet exhausts. The carrier's island superstructure is on the right with her pendant number R09 painted on it.
