A slightly distant starboard broadside view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orcades (1937) at anchor off Abbazia, Italy. Her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to her aft shell door. The photographer is at the harbourside and a local 2-masted sailing vessel is alongside the quay in the foreground while a motor boat is on a cradle on the quay, at the right of the picture. Some piles of logs are on the quay at the left and a boy with a bicycle is close by. Abbazia, in the north end of the Adriatic on the east side, was an Italian port from 1920 to 1947.
