The photographer is at the harbourside and a local 2-masted sailing vessel is alongside the quay in the foreground while a motor boat is on a cradle on the quay, at the right of the picture. Some piles of logs are on the quay at the left and a boy with a bicycle is close by. Abbazia, in the north end of the Adriatic on the east side, was an Italian port from 1920 to 1947.
