On board the U.S. Navy dock landing ship Lindenwald (1943) LSD 6 at anchor in the Mediterranean during the 6th Fleet amphibious exercise Steel Link 1. The photographer is on the port side above the enclosed dock looking aft and slightly to starboard showing the bow of LCU 1487 (1952) with ACU2-15 astern of her in the partially flood dock. LCU 1487 (1952) is loaded with bulldozers and 2 mobile cranes.
