On board the Royal Navy riverine gunboat Skull (1963) (former LCA) while on a visit to a local village during a patrol near Kuching, Sarawak. The photographer is on the port side forward looking aft showing two of the crew near the wheel. RN1 is painted on the cabin roof. The gunboat is crewed by men from Naval Party Kilo. At the top of the steps of the village landing stage is the word 'Dunga'. This was during the Indonesian confrontation which ran from 20 January 1963 to 11 August 1966. The negative is stained at the top.
