On board the Royal Navy riverine gunboat Skull (1963) (former LCA) during a patrol near Kuching, Sarawak. The gunboat is crewed by men from Naval Party Kilo and two of the crew carrying Sterling L2A3 sub machine guns are on board a local boat which is close alongside. The boat is carrying rolls of wire mesh and passengers. This was during the Indonesian confrontation which ran from 20 January 1963 to 11 August 1966.
