On board the Royal Navy Type 15 frigate Ursa (1943) of the 8th Frigate Squadron (West Indies) while under way in West Indies waters during exercises involving the 7th Frigate Squadron (South Atlantic) and the 8th Frigate Squadron (West Indies). The photographer is looking over the port side at the gemini inflatable motoring close alongside. The boat contains a wicker fender. The man in the stern has shut down the outboard motor and the man in the bow is climbing up a rope. The gemini is connected to four lines preparatory to be hoisted inboard. A vertical format negative.
