A close port side view of the fore part, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Royal Navy type 41 frigate Lynx (1955) of the 7th Frigate Squadron (South Atlantic) coming alongside the Royal Navy type 81 general purpose frigate Tartar (1960) of the 8th Frigate Squadron (West Indies) while in an unknown port in the West Indies during an exercise involving both the 7th and 8th Frigate Squadrons. Everything aft of the mainmast, the hull and the tops of the masts are out of the picture. An awning is rigged above 01 deck from the foremast to the bridge. The photographer is on board the Tartar (1960).
