On board the Royal Navy commando carrier Bulwark (1948) under way in the Norwegian Sea off the northern coast of Norway during the NATO exercise Polar Express. The photographer is on the port side of the carrier's island looking aft and to port showing the Westland Wessex HU5 helicopter XT484, coded 469/RS, depositing a pallet of stores from the Resource (1966) onto the Bulwark's flight deck. On the carrier's deck aft are four Westland Wessex HU5 helicopters of 845 Squadron and a number of 45 Commando's Land Rovers.
