The photographer is looking forward over the forecastle from the port side of the bridge at 01 deck level showing the 4.5 inch gun turret trained just to port of the centreline. The Leander (1961) is the British contribution to STANAVFORLANT (the NATO Standing Naval Force Atlantic) and she is following astern of the Squadron's flagship, the Dutch Navy frigate Isaac Sweers (1967).
