A port midship view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the United States Navy destroyer McCaffery (1945) under way in the North Sea off the Firth of Forth. The top of the foremast and everything forward of the bridge and aft of the DASH hangar are out of the picture. The McCaffery is the United States contribution to STANAVFORLANT (the NATO Standing Naval Force Atlantic) and she is seen from on board the Royal Navy frigate Leander (1961).
