On board the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) while under way at sea. The photographer is looking aft from the port side of the upper promenade deck showing lifeboats18 and 20 under their davits. The port aft samson post is on the left of the picture and passengers are seen on the games deck and the docking bridge. A large square-rigged sailing ship is following the Orford under all plain sail and her starboard anchor is suspended below the hawse. A vertical format negative.
