A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) stopped in an unknown location. Neither of her anchors are deployed and she is not flying the anchor ball daymark. She has an accommodation ladder rigged to the main deck aft. Lifeboat number 18 is swung out and is suspended in its falls. A motor tender is being hoisted out from the forward well deck using the ship's cargo boom. The photographer is in a boat moving away from the ship. The shore in the background is densely forested.
