The helicopter flight deck on board the Royal Fleet Auxiliary fleet replenishment ship Olna (1965) during a vertrep (vertical replenishment) serial while under way in the English Channel participating in the NATO exercise Peacekeeper. The photographer is looking to port from the hangar showing the Westland Wessex HU.5 helicopter XT484, coded 469/RS, from the fleet replenishment ship Resource (1966) in flight with an underslung load of three oil drums in a cargo net. Two men on the flight deck are rolling oil drums aft for the next load while two controllers are watching the helicopter movements. In the background is the stern of the aircraft carrier Eagle (1946) and another Westland Wessex HU.5 helicopter. A vertical format negative.
