On board the Royal Navy commando carrier Bulwark (1948) during the assault phase of exercise Bersatu Padu on the east coast of Malaysia near Penarek, Terengganu. The photographer is on the island superstructure looking to port and slightly aft showing the Westland Wessex HU.5 helicopter XS491, coded W/B of 848 Naval Air Squadrons on deck loading a second lift of Royal Marines from 40 Commando. The helicopter appears to be refuelling even though her engines are still running. One of the Bulwark's crew is in the foreground.
