Lighthouse on Pasha's Point, Gallipoli, at the entrance of the Dardanelles and Sea of Marmara
This drawing is inscribed , 'Lighthouse Galipoli entrance of Dardanelles and Sea of Marmara, Pacha's Point, taken from a rock ...[?]'. It was done while the Anglo-French fleet was stationed in Besika Bay, anticipating the need to support Turkey against the Russians in the months before the start of the Crimean War.
