A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) at moorings in Grand Harbour, Malta. An accommodation ladder is rigged to the main deck aft asnd a boat is alongside it. The Blue Peter is being flown from the bridge halyard. The Royal Navy battleship Royal Oak (1914) is moored just beyond and parallel to the Orford. She is still fitted with an aircaft platform on B turret. The photographer is looking south-east from the Barrakka showing Bighi and Kalkara Creek on the left and Vittoriosa on the right.
