The photographer is on the port side of the island superstructure looking to port and slightly aft showing the nose of the De Havilland DH110 Sea Vixen FAW.1 aircraft XP918, coded 122/E, of 899 Naval Air Squadron which is taxying forward. In the foreground is the nose of another 899 Squadron aircraft coded 135. The Westland Sea King HAS.1 helicopter XV666, coded 144/E of 826 Naval Air Squadron is in flight off the port beam.
