A distant starboard bow view of the United States Navy hydrofoil patrol gunboat Tucumcari (1967) under way in the Solent. She is just beginning to rise onto her foils and her hull number is PGH2. On the right and seen from only just abaft her starboard beam is the tank landing ship Wood County (1957), hull number LST 1178. The Tucumcari (1967) is on a round-Europe demonstration deployment supported by the Wood County (1957) which lasted from 5 April 1971 when they arrived at Copenhagen to 1 October 1971 when they sailed from the Mediterranean.
