A view of the bronze Queen Victoria Jubilee statue within its marble canopy in Statue Square (Royal Square), Hong Kong. The statue is shown from the front, slightly to the right, with Queen Victoria looking out towards the harbour which is behind the photographer. In the background is the facade of City Hall (completed 1869) to the south of the statue with hills rising above in the distance.

Wreaths have been laid on the granite steps leading up to the statue and others have been rested against the base of the canopy. These include a large anchor-shaped wreath and a round wreath with 'R W F' in the centre. Three men stand outside the railings around the statue looking at the displya and a childs in a sailor suit stands amongst the wreaths looking up at the statue. Queen Victoria died on 22 January 1901.

Mario Raggi’s bronze statue of Queen Victoria was commissioned to mark the queen’s Golden Jubilee of 1887, and erected in Hong Kong on 28 May 1896. The statue was installed under a sixty-foot-high architectural canopy made of Portland stone.
