On board the Royal Navy frigate Rapid (1942) during the Maritime Air Defence Exercise Highwood which took place in the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea. The photographer is on the starboard side of the aft end of 01 deck looking aft and to starboard showing the motor whaler in its davits and a line of men on the deck are hauling on a transfer line. Steaming alongside the Rapid (1942) for a jackstay transfer is the frigate Keppel (1954).
