A starboard bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the Royal Navy frigate Whitby (1954) berthed alongside the east wall in the basin of the Royal Navy Dockyard HMS Tamar on the north coast of Hong Kong Island. Her pendant number is F36, she has floodlights rigged along her hull and she is flying the United States flag at her foremast in honour of American Thanksgiving Day. The photographer is on board a Ton class patrol vessel alongside the south wall.
