On board a Royal Navy Ton class patrol vessel berthed alongside the south wall in the basin of the Royal Navy Dockyard HMS Tamar on the north coast of Hong Kong Island. The photographer is on the starboard side of the open bridge looking up at the top of the mast showing the White Ensign, a cock-of-the-fleet on the foremast platform and the junk windvane of the 6th Patrol Craft Squadron.
