On board the Royal Navy assault ship Fearless (1963) in the Norwegian Sea during the NATO exercise Strong Express. The photographer is on the aft end of 02 deck looking aft over the helicopter deck showing a Royal Marine Scout helicopter on the port side of the deck. A line of Land Rovers and two GRP raiding craft are on the starboard side. Two of the ship's LCM(9) landing craft are in the water astern of her, having been floated out of her dock.
