On board the sail training brig Royalist (1971) during a training cruise in the English Channel off the Isle of Wight in the last quarter of 1973. The photographer is on the starboard side of the deck abaft the mainmast looking up at cadets working in the rigging with one of them climbing onto the main lower top. She has TS K23 on her fore topsail. A vertical format negative.
