On board the Royal Navy guided missile destroyer Bristol (1969) looking aft over the quarterdeck from the starboard side abreast the Sea Dart launcher showing a large number of civil and military dignitaries watching bombs straddling a towed target astern of the ship during exercise Sally Forth in the North Sea off the Firth of Forth. The bombs were dropped by a Blackburn Buccaneer S2 jet aircraft from 809 Naval Air Squadron flying from the aircraft carrier Ark Royal (1950). In the distance is the commando carrier Bulwark (1948).
