The photographer is on the open bridge looking to starboard showing two of the crew on duty, one at the radio and one using binoculars. A signalling projector is on the bridge side screen. A small, three masted, flush decked motor vessel with an S & B logo on its funnel is off to starboard. This is believed to be the German flagged motor coaster Heinrich S (1964) and she is seen on a reciprocal course from off her starboard beam.
