On board the Royal Navy commando carrier Hermes (1953) while she is at anchor off Cape Teulada, Southern Sardinia during the NATO exercise Dawn Patrol 74 which involved over sixty ships from the U.S.A., U.K., Italy, Turkey and Greece. The photographer is on the port Seacat launcher sponson looking aft and up showing the top of the quadruple Seacat missile launcher. A Westland Wessex HU.5 helicopter is in flight above the port quarter but it is affected by bad image movement..
