On board the Royal Naval Reserve coastal minesweeper Mersey (1957) during the NATO exercise Northern Merger in the North Sea off the Danish coast. The photographer is on the starboard side of the sweep deck looking aft and to starboard showing an unidentified Ton class sweeper under way off the starboard quarter. This sweeper is presumably another unit of the 10th (RNR) Mine Counter Measures Squadron and is seen from wide off her port bow.
