On board the Royal Naval Reserve coastal minesweeper Mersey (1957) during the NATO exercise Northern Merger in the North Sea off the Danish coast. It is after sunset and the photographer is on the starboard side of the sweep deck looking aft and to port showing some of the crew relaxing at the stern rail with the ship in Condition Zulu and some of the men are wearing anti-flash gear.
