Interior of the factory on the static training ship HMS Fisgard.
An interior view on board the static artificer training ship HMS Fisgard, showing the factory with a row of metal working vices on the right and belt driven machinery on the left. The factory is on the upper deck, as walls are timber and the metal frame roof beams can be seen above supporting the roof and skylights. A very similar photograph to N64489, except that it does not have the small light 'flare' in the bottom right corner.
HMS Fisgard was made up of HMS Spartiate (1898) as Fisgard I, HMS Hercules (renamed Calcutta in 1909) (1868) as Fisgard II, and HMS Terrible (1895) as Fisgard III. The ships were anchored off Hardway, north of Gosport.
The original negative envelope was labelled: ''HMS Fisgard Factory Interior 19.6.21'
