On board the Royal Navy commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the Norwegian Sea off the northern Norwegian coast during the NATO exercise Atlas Express which lasted from 18 February to 20 March 1976. The photographer is on the flight deck watching the Westland Wessex HU.5 helicopter XS513 of 845 Naval Air Squadron being refuelled. She is in camouflage paint whereas the HU.5 coded H which is in flight off to port is painted overall black. The image is very slightly unsharp.
