The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from the starboard side of the bridge wing showing the guided missile destroyer Kent (1961) keeping station close alongside during a refuelling serial. Only the midships of the Kent can be seen, everything forward of the bridge, the tops of her masts and everything abaft her after funnel are out of the picture.
