The Gateway of India arch monument on the Apollo Bunder in Bombay harbour. The arch was completed in 1924 and the Taj Mahal Tower (completed 1973) is to the left of the arch. On the extreme left is the Taj Mahal Palace hotel completed in 1903. The photographer is in a naval motor launch in the harbour and a petty officer is on the left.
