A starboard bow view of the Royal Navy chartered minesweeper Venturer (1972) during team sweeping in Loch Fyne, Scotland

A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Royal Navy chartered minesweeper Venturer (1972) during a team sweeping exercise with her sister St David (1973) in Loch Fyne, Scotland. She has three black balls hoisted indicating that it is unsafe to pass down either side of her and her pendant number is M08. The sweep control position is located at the after end of the bridge structure and is on the same level as the compass platform for ease of communication and at the same time affording a good view of the sweep deck. The photographer is on board the St David (1973).
