The hulk of the former Greek submarine Argonaftis (1944) berthed at Pasajes, Spain
A close detail of the rear of the conning tower of the former Greek submarine Argonaftis (1944) at Pasajes. The photographer is on the deck looking forward and up from just abaft the conning tower showing the top of the tower and the confusion of wires. The Argonaftis (1944) was being towed from Malta to the Tyne in December 1958 when she broke adrift and stranded on the North Spanish coast. The hulk was refloated and towed into Pasajes 6 January 1959. She was broken up there during April 1961.
