On board a Royal Navy frigate during the steampast at the conclusion of the Western Fleet exercise Seaforth in the North Sea off Bass Rock. The photographer is looking aft from the roof of the hangar and the identity of his ship is not known, but it may be one of the frigates Danae (1965) or Juno (1965). It has a decorative wind vane in the shape of a relaxing female figure. Two Leander class frigates are astern of the photographer's ship and to starboard is a line of frigates lead by the Galatea (1963), pendant number F18, the leader of the 20th Frigate Squadron. Following the Galatea is the Cleopatra (1964), pendant number F28.
