On board a Royal Navy frigate during the steampast at the conclusion of exercise Seaforth in the North Sea off Bass Rock
On board a Royal Navy frigate during the steampast at the conclusion of the Western Fleet exercise Seaforth in the North Sea off Bass Rock. The photographer is looking aft and slightly to port from the roof of the hangar and the identity of his ship is not known, but it may be one of the frigates Danae (1965) or Juno (1965). It has a decorative wind vane in the shape of a relaxing female figure and her port Seacat missile launcher is on the left. Two Leander class frigates are astern of the photographer's ship.
