A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Royal Navy exercise minelayer Abdiel (1967) at anchor in the Suez Canal at Port Said. Her pendant number is N21 and she is serving as the mother ship for the squadron of minesweepers and minehunters that are engaged in Operation Rheostat One, the clearing of the Suez Canal of ordnance left over from the Egypt-Israel War. Her stern is out of the picture.
