On board the Royal Navy coastal minehunter Bossington (1955) at anchor in the Suez Canal near Port Said. The photographer is on the starboard side of the bridge abreast the tripod mast looking down and aft showing her sweep deck with many of the crew lining the rail during 'hands to bathe'. Her funnel has the blue logo of the Suez Canal Authority on it. She is engaged in Operation Rheostat One, the clearing of the Suez Canal of ordnance left over from the Egypt-Israel War. A vertical format image.
