A general view of the reviewing ships passing line J during the Queen's Silver Jubilee Review of the Fleet at Spithead. The photographer is on board the Royal Fleet Auxiliary helicopter support ship Engadine (1966) looking forward showing the Trinity House vessel Patricia (1938) leading the Royal Yacht Britannia (1953) and the Royal Navy destroyer Birmingham (1973) westwards between lines J and F. On the left is the United States guided missile cruiser California (1971) in line J, seen from abaft her port beam, and in the next berth is the United States submarine Billfish (1970). In the distance is the cross-channel passenger/vehicle ferry Viking Valiant (1975).
